When God delays in answering our Prayers
Many times when God seems to delay in answering our prayers it is because He intends to be gracious to us. When Lazarus fell sick his family sent for Jesus. Instead of coming immediately He waited (John 11:1-46). He did not come until Lazarus had died, then He said "I am glad" (John 11:15), for Jesus had something good in mind. God waited four thousand years to send a savior as He had promised. But in God's fullness of time Jesus was born, offering Himself up for our sins and becoming our Lord and Savior. God's always does thing is His time, never ahead of time and never late.
Isaiah 30;18 "And therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you."
