Thought for Today

In the troubled times in which we live it is easy to become weary and discouraged not only in our walk with God but with life in general. God's word offers a very practical solution to regain control of our hectic lives and give us the strength to deal with the challenge of daily life.

1. Get enough rest-(1 Kings 19:5) God is concerned with our physical health as well
as well as our spiritual well being. The importance of proper rest to physical
and mental well being cannot be overstated.

2. Proper diet-(1 Kings 19:6) God's word tell us our body is His temple.

3. Spend quiet time with yourself and God-(1 Kings 19:12) Time spend in prayer
allows God to speak to our heart, provide us with direction and the stability of a
God centered life.

4. Go forward-(1 Kings 19:15)God commands us to serve Him with all our heart and
abilities and desires for us to live life to the fullest.
