Inclining Our Ears to Hear

Several years ago, the investment firm of E. F. Hutton had a slogan, "When E. F. Hutton talks, people listen." As God's people we should have this reverence and respect for the word of God. Christian people should give their pastor their undivided attention as he preaches God's word and when they study their Bible. God holds each one of us accountable for what we hear, so we are responsible to incline our ear for the word of God.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
