Time to (really) study the Bible

A survey conducted of people that attend church regularly revealed the following:

When asked to quote the first Bible verse that came to mind most adults and teens said " God helps those who helps themselves" which is not in the Bible and conflicts was the message of the scriptures.

One-third could not put the following in order; Abraham, the Old Testament prophets, the death of Christ, and Pentcost.

Half could not sequence the following: Moses in Egypt, Issac's birth,Saul's death, and Judah's exile.

One-third could not identify Matthew and an apostle, from a list of New Testament names.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"
