Thought for Today

Over 100 years ago Alexis de Coqueville a famous French political writer who authored "Democracy in America" visited the United States to find the secret to it's greatness. Traveling from town to town he talked to people and examined every facet of America.
Returning to France, he wrote "I sought the reason for America's greatness. I found it not in her fields and forests. I found it not in her mines or factories, nor in Congress and tribunals.
It was only when I entered her churches and heard pastors preaching righteousness and the penalty for sin that I discovered the the reason of her greatness, then he added " America is great because America is good. If America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great."

PROVERBS 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.
