In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence; and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Proverbs 14:26-27
Clearly stated the fear of the Lord is a reverence of God and an attitude of worship and obedience. The keeping of God's word keeps us under the umbrella of his protection and thus we can avoid the traps Satan sets to snare us up in his web of sin and the misery it brings.
